Hold The Sky

I had a dream in which a handful of people were walking slowly along a small pond, cloaked and with their palms closed in prayer. As they slowly trudged along the water they hummed a tune that I could barely hear.
As I awoke from the dream the tune was still ringing between my ears. I wondered who these people were and what their mission was. Why were they singing? Was it a song of lament or a calling? Were they perhaps calling me home or had I already been there in another distant dream?

Some time passed and I found myself going to the mountains of Spain to find a teaching and a teacher. I was meditating a lot and looked for a place to do so more. When I arrived at the site there was this pond that I recognized from my dream, although it had been filled - or maybe it hadn't turned into a pond yet. But things seemed to come together and I made the assumption that these were the cloaked monks from my dream and I had found them - or they had found me.

This song is for Them. For all the people who walked this Path before us and cleared the way so that a fraction of humanity could remember and keep the Flame of Agni alive for generations to come.
